Oh the places you'll go. At The Discoverer, we're always planning our next trip. Whether it's a quick jaunt across state lines or a two-week adventure overseas, there's always more places to see and things to do. So we're setting some travel resolutions, and hoping to add a few more stamps to our passports. Here's where we want to go in 2019.
Copenhagen, Denmark

From the colorful seaport of Nyhavn to the 15 Michelin-starred restaurants tucked away in pedestrian-friendly streets, Copenhagen is a must for anyone's bucket list. This year, I want to embrace Hygge in the city's many cozy coffee shops or wrapped in a blanket on a canal cruise. But what attracts me the most are the sustainability initiatives. From biking through pedestrian-only streets to cruising through clean-water canals, this city is making strides in the world of sustainability. Copenhagen was the European Green Capital 2014 and is working towards becoming the world's first carbon-neutral capital by 2025. - Victoria Hurd, Strategic Partnerships Manager

Edinburgh, Scotland

Castles on hills, cobblestoned streets and haunted graveyards — I've been dreaming about Edinburgh for the past year! The city is surrounded by rolling green hills and lined with charming pubs and shops giving it a medieval vibe that's so cool. With our main office located in Denver, I want to continue to explore my home in the Rocky Mountains. Which is why Aspen is as big a draw for me as exotic, far-flung destinations. Adventurous and full of glamor, the snow-dusted city is an attractive and close spot for some 2019 trips. Dublin, Ireland

My father's family is from Ireland and I want to experience the blooming destination, culture and innovation. Seville, Spain

While most tourists flock to Barcelona or Madrid, there's something about Seville that keeps catching my attention. Maybe it's the famous flamenco dancing or the historic center that's dominated by churches and palaces. This medieval city keeps its traditions alive in every winding alley and hidden restaurant. French Polynesia

Tahiti and Bora Bora have long recalled images of glamor, relaxation and luxury. So where better to plan a honeymoon? My fiance and I got engaged in Alaska, so we're ready for something warm and sunny for our honeymoon. Kyoto, Japan

I love Japanese culture and Kyoto has been number 1 on my bucket list for a while. The food is to die for, from fresh seafood to high-end restaurants. The cultural experiences fill your soul, from the temples tucked in bamboo forests to perfectly-manicured gardens. I grew up around Banff in Calgary and I really want to take my boys back to see my hometown. I didn't appreciate how breathtaking Banff is when I lived there, but the more pictures I see the more I realize I have to go back. Auckland, New Zealand

New Zealand has been a bucket list destination for my fiance and I for a long time. The natural features are the biggest draw for us, and we want to hike the Milford Sound, marvel at the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and island-hop around the northern island beaches. But of all the cities, Auckland is the most exciting.
