If you dream of bright lights and big cities then Las Vegas is the destination for you. Classic Las Vegas is constantly reinventing itself with new shows, clubs and restaurants opening each month to keep even the locals fully entertained. And while off-the-beaten-path itineraries showcase a new side of the glittering hotspot, it doesn’t mean you can’t focus on the things that made Las Vegas famous in the first place.
Friday:
When you arrive in Las Vegas head straight for lunch at Carson Kitchen, a Las Vegas essential. This casual urban eatery serves up playful American dishes and has a swanky bar for some late afternoon drinks. Following lunch, explore the revitalized Fremont area, admiring the street murals or stepping into the Mob Museum for a fun history lesson.
Freshen up for an early dinner at Bavette’s Steakhouse where you’ll be treated to a stylish take on a French eatery. With a cool ambiance and delicious menu to match, you’ll toast your first night in Vegas in style, lively jazz music and all.
Post-dinner, get over to the Neon Museum for one of the coolest experiences in town. This graveyard of old neon signs from the Las Vegas Strip’s colorful history is enchanting when the sun goes down. Join the tour to learn incredible history behind the Strip’s many famous residents and watering holes throughout the years.

As the night stretches on, it’s time to hit the Strip for a night on the town. Every month there seems to be a new “hottest” club to check out with some of the best DJs making guest appearances. Everyone has their favorite, from your Uber driver to your waitress, so ask around check out schedules ahead of time to decide where you’ll spend the night. If you want to keep it classic, check out Drai’s Nightclub where you’re almost guaranteed to know who is performing.
Saturday:
Sleep in this morning, but not too late because the next party has already started. Grab a quick breakfast at the Wicked Spoon buffet in the Cosmopolitan. I know, a buffet? But this sleek dining experience will exceed your expectations, with high-end offerings and bottomless mimosas. The best part is your next stop is right upstairs.
The Marquee at Cosmopolitan is one of the Strip’s best pool parties. The Las Vegas pool party is a rite of passage for visitors, especially since the destination’s near-constant sunshine offers perfect conditions all year long. The atmosphere is impossibly fun with well-known DJs spinning hits that will make you want to dance.
Rest up this afternoon before slipping over to Rivea for dinner. This restaurant, located in the underrated Delano, offers by far the best view of the city. Get a seat on the patio if you can and watch the sunset over the Strip and the lights come alive between drinks and dessert.
After dinner it’s time for a show! Las Vegas’s entertainment scene has burst into life in the past decade and there’s a show for everyone. From the death-defying stunts of Cirque du Soleil to the raunchy comedic stylings of Spiegelworld’s Opium and Absinthe, all you have to do is sit and be amazed.
Sunday:
You’ve earned a lie in, but before you depart from the Strip, grab breakfast at Primrose in Park MGM for some delicious french fare in a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The, if you have time, head to the Venetian for a gondola ride to send you off in style.
