Upgrade Your Future Travels With Hyatt's Latest Limited Time Offer
While you might not be traveling right now, this is still a great time to maximize the everyday purchases you have to make anyway to stockpile points for future vacations. And while we normally recommend focusing your purchases to earn transferable rewards currencies, Hyatt loyalists should take note of the chain's latest offer.
Seeqr has partnered with The Points Guy affiliate network for our coverage of credit card products. Seeqr and The Points Guy may receive a commission from card issuers. The offers mentioned below are subject to change at any time and some may no longer be available.
New Cardmembers
The World of Hyatt Credit Card is always one of our favorite hotel-branded credit cards, and if you apply between now and June 30, 2020, you'll automatically receive 10 elite night credits for the year, up from the usual bonus of 5 nights. That's in addition to the current welcome offer of 25,000 World of Hyatt points after spending $3,000 in your first three months, and an additional 25,000 points after spending $6,000 total in your first six months.
While those extra elite credit nights won't upgrade your status on their own, they'll get you closer to Hyatt's Explorist tier, which is earned after 30 nights per year. All World of Hyatt Credit Card cardmembers receive Hyatt's Discoverist status automatically, regardless of the number of elite night credits earned.
Existing Cardmembers
Already have the World of Hyatt Credit Card? From now until June 30, you'll earn three elite night credits for every $5,000 spent on the card, or one more night than usual. This is in addition to the five annual night credits that you receive automatically just for holding the card.
Why Apply?
Neither of these promotions are hugely impactful unless you're on the margin of earning elite World of Hyatt status, but it's nice to have a route towards "buying" status even when it's not possible to travel.
As a reminder, all cardholders receive one free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel after your cardmember anniversary, plus an extra free night at any if you spend $15,000 total during your cardmember anniversary year. And due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hyatt has extended the expiration date on all previously earned award nights that were due to expire this year to December 31, 2021, so you'll have plenty of time to use them.
